Option E is correct because the Senior Supplier advises the Project Board on the design, development, and feasibility of the supplier's solutions, bringing technical and delivery knowledge into board decisions. Option B is not a Senior Supplier responsibility; managing the project budget is the Project Manager's task, with the Executive accountable for the overall business case and budget on the board. The Exception Report triggers an Exception Plan to recover or adjust the project.

Report the overrun in the next Highlight Report

Answer

Close the project as the Business Case is no longer viable

Answer

Increase the stage budget and continue

Question 13

What is the difference between a Request for Change and an Off-specification?

Accepted Answer

A Request for Change is a proposal for a future change, while an Off-specification is a problem that has already occurred. A Request for Change (RFC) is a proposal for a future modification to the project's baselined products, while an Off-specification (Off-spec) is a problem that has already occurred, indicating that a product does not meet its specification. In PRINCE2, the key distinction is timing: RFCs are proactive and seek approval for a planned change, whereas Off-specs are reactive and document a deviation that has already happened.

Answer

A Request for Change is always approved by the Change Authority, while an Off-specification requires approval from the Project Board

Answer

There is no difference; both terms can be used interchangeably

Answer

An Off-specification only applies to quality failures, while a Request for Change applies to scope changes

Question 14

Which TWO of the following are responsibilities of the Project Manager?

Accepted Answer

Prepare the Highlight Report for the Project Board. The Project Manager is responsible for managing the project on a day-to-day basis and preparing Highlight Reports for the Project Board. Therefore, options B and C are correct. Authorizing Work Packages is also a Project Manager responsibility, but this question asks for the two key responsibilities typically emphasized. Creating the Project Initiation Documentation is a PM responsibility during the Initiating a Project process, but it is not the only correct answer here. Providing independent assurance is the role of Project Assurance.

Answer

Answer

Authorize Work Packages

Answer

Provide independent assurance to the Project Board

Question 15

Which THREE of the following are roles on the PRINCE2 Project Board?

Accepted Answer

Senior Responsible Owner (Executive). The PRINCE2 Project Board is composed of three roles representing the business, user, and supplier interests: the Executive (option B), the Senior User (option C), and the Senior Supplier (option D). The Executive (also referred to as the Senior Responsible Owner in some contexts) owns the business case and is accountable for the project's success, making B correct. The Senior User represents those who will use the project's products and specifies their needs, making C correct. The Senior Supplier represents those providing the resources and expertise to deliver the products, making D correct. Options A (Project Manager) and E (Team Manager) are not Project Board roles; the Project Manager manages the project on a day-to-day basis and reports to the Board, while the Team Manager manages teams delivering products, so neither sits on the Board.

Answer

Project Manager

Answer

Team Manager
