Privacy Policy

We collect information in the following ways:

• Account data: When you register, we collect your name and email address.
• Usage data: Questions answered, scores, session duration, domain performance, and study habits — used to power your progress tracking and recommendations.
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, device type, referring URL, and pages visited — collected automatically via server logs and analytics services.
• Communications: If you contact us, we retain the message content and your contact details.

• To deliver and personalise the Courseiva service (study recommendations, readiness scores, progress tracking)
• To improve question quality and exam coverage
• To monitor site performance and diagnose technical issues
• To show relevant advertisements (see Section 5 below)
• To respond to support requests and feedback
• To send service-related communications (account notices, feature updates)

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

All user data is stored securely via Supabase (PostgreSQL with row-level security). Data in transit is encrypted via TLS. Data at rest is encrypted at the infrastructure level. Authentication is handled by Supabase Auth using industry-standard JWT tokens.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as necessary to provide our services. You may request deletion at any time (see Section 8).

Courseiva is supported by advertising. We work with the following advertising partners:

• Google AdSense — Google may use data about your browsing behaviour to show you relevant advertisements on Courseiva and across the web. Google's advertising services are subject to Google's advertising policies.

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to Courseiva or other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising at google.com/settings/ads.

If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you.
• Rectification: Ask us to correct inaccurate data.
• Erasure: Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten").
• Restriction: Ask us to limit processing of your data.
• Portability: Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
• Objection: Object to processing based on legitimate interests, including profiling for advertising.

• Know what personal information we collect, use, disclose, or sell.
• Request deletion of your personal information.
• Opt out of the sale of your personal information. Courseiva does not sell personal information.

You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing support@courseiva.com with subject line "Delete my account". We will process requests within 30 days.

Note: aggregated, anonymised analytics data that cannot be linked back to you may be retained for platform improvement purposes.

Courseiva is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided personal information, we will delete it immediately.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you via email or in-app notice. Continued use of Courseiva after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
