Troubleshooting: OSPF adjacencies and missing routes

Three routers are configured for OSPF area 0 but PC1 cannot reach PC3. Find the faults that stop the adjacencies and the routes, and fix them.

About 30 minutes 5 devices 4 tasksAdvanced

Scenario

A colleague configured OSPF process 1, area 0, on R1, R2 and R3, but the help desk reports that PC1 (192.168.1.0/24) cannot reach PC3 (192.168.3.0/24). There is more than one fault. Use `show ip ospf neighbor`, `show ip ospf interface brief`, `show ip interface brief`, `show running-config` and `show ip route` to find them. Fix the configuration without changing the addressing plan: point-to-point links are /30.

Your tasks

  1. R1 and R2 form a FULL OSPF adjacency.
  2. R2 and R3 form a FULL OSPF adjacency.
  3. R1 learns 192.168.3.0/24 through OSPF.
  4. PC1 can ping PC3.

The lab checks the result, not the exact commands. For example, a ping task passes only when the ping really succeeds through the network you built.
