Question 2

An HR department wants to trigger a notification when a case is escalated. What is the best configuration tool?

Accepted Answer

System Notification > Email. System Notification > Email is the correct tool to trigger a notification when a case is escalated. Question 6

Which THREE things must be configured to enable a fully functional 'Life Cycle Event'?

Accepted Answer

Activity Sets. To enable a fully functional Life Cycle Event, you must configure Activity Sets (A), which group the activities that define the sequence of steps in the life cycle; Triggers (C), which determine the conditions or events that initiate the life cycle; and Activities (D), which are the individual tasks or actions performed within each activity set. These three components work together: triggers start the process, activity sets organize the workflow, and activities execute the required actions. ACLs (B) control access permissions but are not required specifically for a life cycle event to function, and Service Portal (E) is a user interface layer that is not mandatory for the core configuration of a life cycle event.

Answer

ACLs

Answer

Service Portal

Question 7

Which TWO roles are commonly assigned to HR agents?

Accepted Answer

sn_hr_core.basic. Option C, sn_hr_core.basic, is correct because it is the baseline HR role in ServiceNow HR Service Delivery that grants HR agents the fundamental access needed to work HR cases, view the HR agent workspace, and perform core HR tasks. Option E, sn_hr_core.case_writer, is correct because it is the standard role assigned to HR agents who create, update, and manage HR cases, including writing case comments and working cases through their lifecycle. Together these two roles reflect the typical least-privilege HR agent assignment. Option A, survey_admin, is incorrect because it governs survey configuration and administration, not HR case work. Option B, itil, is incorrect because it is the ITIL process role for IT service management, unrelated to HR agents. Option D, admin, is incorrect because it is the broad system administrator role and far exceeds the permissions an HR agent should have.

Answer

survey_admin

Answer

itil

Answer

admin

Question 8

Which THREE entities should be secured using ACLs in HRSD?

Accepted Answer

HR Profile table. In HRSD, ACLs should be applied to the HR Profile table (A) because it stores sensitive employee data such as personal, compensation, and job details, and access must be restricted to authorized HR roles and the employee themselves. The HR Service configuration (B) must also be secured with ACLs since it defines HR service definitions, templates, and related configuration that should only be modifiable by HR administrators, not general users. The HR Case table (C) requires ACLs because HR cases contain confidential employee relations, benefits, and payroll information that must be visible only to the assigned HR agent, the case opener, and appropriate HR roles. Portal Header (D) is a UI layout element, not a data table containing sensitive records, so it is controlled through portal/page configuration rather than ACLs. System Logs (E) are secured through system-level role permissions and log access controls, not through HRSD-specific ACLs on HR entities.

Answer

Portal Header

Answer

System Logs

Question 9

A customer needs to restrict access to HR cases based on the HR department. Which component should you use to implement this security requirement?

Accepted Answer

HR Criteria. HR Criteria in ServiceNow HR Service Delivery is the component used to restrict access to HR cases based on user attributes such as department, location, or employment type. It allows administrators to define conditions that determine which HR cases a user can see, directly meeting the requirement to restrict access based on the HR department.

Question 10

An organization requires that specific sensitive HR data on the HR Profile is hidden from the HR Case worker unless they have a specific role. Which feature provides this field-level security?

HR Scoped Roles. HR Scoped Roles and HR ACLs work together to protect sensitive HR Profile data fields.

Answer

Data Policies

Question 11

You need to create a new HR Service that allows employees to request a leave of absence. Which component defines the 'what' and 'how' of this HR process?

Accepted Answer

HR Service. The HR Service defines the process, while the HR Topic Category groups the service for classification.

Answer

HR Service Activity

Answer

HR Topic

Answer

HR Criteria

Question 12

You need to create a new HR Task type that is not part of the standard set. Where should you define this?

Accepted Answer

HR Task definition. HR Task types that are not part of the standard set are defined in the HR Task definition, which lets administrators create custom task configurations tied to HR services and lifecycles. This is where you specify the task name, associated HR service, and any custom fields or behaviors. Defining it here ensures the task can be generated and tracked within HR cases.

Answer

HR Case definition

Answer

Flow Designer

Answer

HR Service

Question 13

What is the primary function of the HR Service Activity?

Accepted Answer

HR Tasks. This is not a real object. HR services use tasks. (Wait, checking logic: HR services utilize HR Tasks for process fulfillment).

Answer

HR Case triggers

Answer

HR Profiles

Answer

HR Workflows

Question 14

Which component is used to link an HR Service to a specific HR Catalog Item?

Accepted Answer

HR Service. The HR Service is the component that links an HR Service to a specific HR Catalog Item. In ServiceNow HR Service Delivery, the HR Service record contains a reference field to the HR Catalog Item, so creating or opening the catalog item creates a case tied to that service and its template, criteria, and assignment configuration.

Answer

HR Topic

Answer

HR Template

Answer

HR Criteria

Question 15

Which TWO of the following are components of the HR Service Delivery architecture used for defining HR services?

Accepted Answer

HR Service. In the HR Service Delivery architecture, an HR Service (option A) is the core component that defines a specific service offered to employees, such as onboarding or benefits enrollment, and it encapsulates the associated tasks, approvals, and fulfillment processes. An HR Template (option B) is also a required component because it defines the reusable structure and configuration that determines how an HR service is presented and processed, including the fields, forms, and workflow details that make up the service definition. Together, the HR Service and HR Template are the two architectural elements used to define HR services in the HR Service Delivery application. The unmarked options do not belong: HR Profile, HR Criteria, and HR Role are not components used for defining HR services in this architecture, as they relate to user attributes, eligibility conditions, or access roles rather than the service definition itself.

Answer

HR Profile

Answer

HR Criteria

Answer

HR Role
