Question 4

You have a Requirement to create a custom HR Service that triggers a complex Approval workflow. What should you use?

Accepted Answer

Flow Designer. Flow Designer is the modern, recommended tool in ServiceNow for building custom HR Services that require complex approval workflows, because it supports multi-step approvals, conditional branching, and integration with the HR Service Delivery data model natively. It replaces the legacy Workflow Editor for new development and provides a low-code canvas with reusable actions, subflows, and inline approval steps. For a custom HR Service triggering a complex approval, Flow Designer gives the flexibility, logging, and error handling needed without custom scripting.

Email script

Answer

Workflow Editor

Question 5

Which table is used to store HR Criteria?

Accepted Answer

sn_hr_core_criteria. HR Criteria in ServiceNow HR Service Delivery are stored in the sn_hr_core_criteria table. This table holds the criteria records that define which employees are eligible for specific HR services or cases. It is the correct table for querying or configuring HR criteria.

Answer

sn_hr_core_service

Answer

sys_scope

Question 6

Which THREE features are part of the HR Service Portal configuration?

Accepted Answer

Widgets. In the HR Service Portal configuration, Widgets (A) are correct because the portal is built on Service Portal technology, where reusable widgets provide the UI components (such as search, case creation, and knowledge) that make up the portal pages. Portal Menu (C) is correct because the portal's navigation is defined through a portal menu record that controls the header menu links and structure users see. Theme (E) is correct because a Service Portal theme record supplies the CSS, styling, and branding applied to the HR Service Portal. Assignment Rules (B) are not a portal configuration element; they are used in HR case assignment to route cases to agents and belong to case/assignment setup, not the portal. HR Case Template (D) is also not part of the portal configuration; templates prefill HR case fields during case creation and are configured in HR case management, not in the Service Portal records.

Question 8

Which THREE items are typically stored in the 'sn_hr_core' scope?

Accepted Answer

HR Tasks. In ServiceNow HR Service Delivery, the 'sn_hr_core' scope is the application scope that contains the core HR data model, so HR Cases (option C) and HR Tasks (option B) are the primary record types stored there, along with HR Services (option E), which define the catalog items employees request. These three are all part of the HR application's own tables (e.g., sn_hr_core_case, sn_hr_core_task, sn_hr_core_service), which is why they belong to that scope. By contrast, the Incident table (option A) and Problem table (option D) are ITSM tables that live in the global scope or the ITSM application scopes, not in sn_hr_core, so they are not stored there.

Answer

Incident table

Answer

Problem table

Question 9

What is the primary benefit of using HR Criteria over User Criteria?

Accepted Answer

HR-specific fields. The primary benefit of using HR Criteria over User Criteria is that HR Criteria can leverage HR-specific fields, such as HR profile, department, or employee type, which are not available in standard User Criteria. This allows for more precise targeting of HR content and services based on HR data structures, enabling better personalization and access control for HR applications.

Question 10

Which THREE factors influence HR Case assignment logic?

Accepted Answer

Conditions. In ServiceNow HR Case assignment, the assignment logic is driven by three key factors: Conditions (A), which define the criteria that must be met for a rule to fire (such as case type, department, or other field values); Assignment Group (C), which specifies the group to which the case is routed when the conditions are satisfied; and Skills (D), which can be used to further refine assignment to a specific agent within the group based on required competencies. Portal selection (B) affects the user interface and submission channel but does not influence how the case is assigned. User locale (E) may affect language or localization but is not a factor in the core assignment logic.

Answer

Portal selection

Answer

User locale

Question 11
