Official blueprint
The JN0-106 exam covers 2 domains. Each domain has a defined weight — the percentage of exam questions it contributes. Courseiva has 528 practice questions mapped across these objectives.
Click any objective to see practice questions for that domain.
Networking Fundamentals is 16% of JN0-106 and covers the OSI and TCP/IP models, Ethernet and IP addressing, subnetting, plus core protocols such as ARP, ICMP, TCP and UDP. Questions are multiple-choice and ask you to identify layers, map protocols to layers, calculate subnets, and interpret Junos interface and routing output.
48 practice questions available
Junos OS Fundamentals is 17% of JN0-106 and covers the architecture and operational model that every other domain depends on. Questions test your grasp of the two daemons (mgd and rpd), the two REs and their roles, the two configuration databases (candidate and active), commit semantics, and the CLI operational-vs-configuration mode split. Expect straightforward recall plus small scenario judgements.
92 practice questions available
Start with the highest-weight domain — that's where most of your exam questions will come from. Work through each objective's practice questions until you can answer at least 85% correctly. Return to lower-weight domains last, and use the full practice test to test cross-domain recall.
