EtherChannel with LACP

Bundle two trunk links between switches into one LACP port-channel so spanning tree stops blocking one of them, then restrict the VLANs it carries.

About 20 minutes 6 devices 3 tasksIntermediate

Scenario

SW1 and SW2 are joined by two trunk links, Gi0/1 and Gi0/2. Spanning tree blocks one of them, so half the bandwidth sits idle (see `show spanning-tree vlan 10`). Bundle both links into Port-channel 1 using LACP (SW1 actively negotiates, SW2 passively), and allow only VLANs 10 and 20 on the bundle.

Your tasks

  1. Gi0/1 and Gi0/2 form Port-channel 1 with LACP on both switches (SW1 active, SW2 passive).
  2. Port-channel 1 is a trunk that allows only VLANs 10 and 20 on both switches.
  3. PC1 reaches PC3 and PC2 reaches PC4 across the bundle.

The lab checks the result, not the exact commands. For example, a ping task passes only when the ping really succeeds through the network you built.
