UiPath-ADAv1 Practice Test 11 — 15 Questions

Question 1

When using Integration Service, what is the advantage of using 'Connections' instead of manual API calls with hardcoded credentials?

Accepted Answer

It automates the refresh of OAuth access tokens.. Connections provide a centralized, secure management layer for authentication. By abstracting the OAuth flow, Integration Service ensures that authentication remains valid through automatic token refreshes, significantly reducing the maintenance burden on developers. This approach enhances security posture by eliminating the need to expose sensitive keys in code, while also providing administrators with a single pane of glass to manage and audit all external service access across the entire automation portfolio.

Answer

It allows the robot to run without an Orchestrator license.

Answer

It forces the execution to run on the local machine only.

Answer

It eliminates the need for an Orchestrator folder.

Question 2

Refer to the exhibit. A robot is attempting to process items from a queue but receives a 403 Forbidden error. What is the most likely cause?

Accepted Answer

The Robot account lacks the 'Queue: View' permission in the assigned folder.. A 403 Forbidden error indicates that the robot is authenticated but lacks the specific permissions required to access the requested resource. In Orchestrator, this usually signifies that the Robot account is missing the 'View' or 'Edit' permissions for the specific Queue entity within the folder. Ensuring proper Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) alignment is vital for stable production operations and maintaining the principle of least privilege within the automation ecosystem.

Answer

The Robot machine is disconnected from the Orchestrator URL.

Answer

The Queue item has already been locked by another robot instance.

Answer

The license for the Orchestrator tenant has expired.

Question 3

When designing a custom logging framework, which approach is most effective for ensuring consistent log correlation across multiple workflows?

Accepted Answer

Pass a unique Correlation ID through arguments across workflows. For effective log correlation in large-scale automations, developers should pass a unique 'Correlation ID' or 'Transaction ID' through arguments between workflows. By including this ID in every log message, the logs become traceable, allowing administrators to filter messages by the specific process instance across disparate components. This practice is vital for troubleshooting complex, modularized automation projects where child workflows are invoked frequently and independently of the parent.

Answer

Log the timestamp of every activity execution

Answer

Use the Robot ID to group all logs together

Answer

Write logs to a local text file and sort by file size

Question 4

Refer to the exhibit. After invoking an API, you receive the JSON structure shown. Which activity and property configuration is required to extract the 'id' value into a variable?

Accepted Answer

Use 'Deserialize JSON' then access via 'jsonObject("data")("id").ToString'.. To extract nested values from a JSON response, one must first convert the string response into a JObject using the Deserialize JSON activity. Once in object form, the JObject can be navigated using standard dot notation or string indexing. This is a fundamental skill for API-based automation because it allows robots to programmatically access specific data fields needed for subsequent logic or UI-based interactions.

Answer

Use 'Get Text' activity with 'data.id' as the selector.

Answer

Use 'Assign' activity to read the response string directly using string splitting.

Answer

Use 'Deserialize JSON Array' to extract the 'id' field.

Question 5

How can an administrator retrieve logs from a robot that is currently disconnected from Orchestrator?

Accepted Answer

By manually accessing the local log files on the machine. When a robot loses its connection to Orchestrator, it continues to generate logs locally on the machine. Administrators can access these files directly from the local log directory, typically found in the standard Windows user profile folders where the UiPath service stores logs. Retrieving these files manually is necessary for debugging environment-specific issues or network connectivity problems that prevent the robot from reaching the central management server.

Answer

By executing a command via the Orchestrator API

Answer

By waiting for the robot to automatically reconnect

Answer

By using the 'Get Robot Logs' activity in a new process

Question 6

You are developing an automation that processes thousands of small CSV files located in a local directory. Which approach provides the best performance while ensuring file integrity during the read operation?

Accepted Answer

Utilize the Read CSV activity with 'Has Headers' enabled and default buffering.. Using the Read CSV activity within a For Each File In Folder loop is standard, but memory efficiency is key when processing large volumes. Streaming data or using the proper DataTable configuration prevents memory bottlenecks. Understanding file locking and stream management is critical for robust automation, as improper handling leads to read-write conflicts or resource exhaustion in high-throughput enterprise environments.

Answer

Use the Read Text File activity and manual splitting to parse the data.

Answer

Move files to a subfolder named 'Processed' immediately after reading.

Answer

Read all files into a single master DataTable using an Invoke Code activity.

Question 7

Which TWO methods are recommended for safely handling file paths in UiPath to ensure cross-platform compatibility?

Accepted Answer

Using Path.Combine for joining directory and file names.. Using Path.Combine ensures that directory separators are handled according to the host operating system, preventing issues when migrating between Windows and Linux environments. Path.GetFullPath is equally critical for resolving relative paths into absolute ones, which prevents ambiguity during runtime execution. Together, these methods form the foundation of secure and portable automation design, ensuring that file operations consistently point to the correct locations regardless of the execution context or environment variables.

Answer

Concatenating strings using the '+' operator.

Answer

Hardcoding full paths using double backslashes in all variables.

Answer

Always using forward slashes for all file operations.

Question 8

A developer is configuring a workflow to extract all embedded raster images from a multi-page PDF contract for archiving purposes. Which activity is specifically designed to accomplish this task efficiently?

Accepted Answer

Extract PDF File Images. The Extract PDF File Images activity is specifically built to extract all embedded images from a PDF file and save them directly to a specified local directory as individual image files. This eliminates the need to use third-party tools or take manual screenshots, streamlining the asset extraction phase of document automation projects.

Answer

Read PDF Text

Answer

Get OCR Text

Answer

Read PDF With OCR

Question 9

A developer needs to extract the text content of a digitally created PDF and store it in a string variable for later string manipulation. The PDF opens normally and its text can be selected in a viewer. Which activity should the developer use?

Accepted Answer

Read PDF Text. When a PDF contains selectable text, an embedded text layer exists and can be read directly. Read PDF Text parses that layer and returns a string suitable for variable assignment and downstream string operations. It is faster and more faithful than OCR because no image recognition is involved, making it the correct choice for digitally created documents.

Answer

Extract PDF Page Range

Answer

Read PDF With OCR

Answer

Get OCR Text

Question 10

Refer to the exhibit. A developer tries to open a project from Git, but gets this error. What is the most likely cause?

Accepted Answer

The package feed is not configured correctly in Studio.. This error indicates that a dependency is missing from the local NuGet cache or the configured feeds. When a project is cloned from Git, it does not include the actual NuGet packages, only the reference in the project.json. If the machine does not have access to the feed where these packages are stored, Studio cannot resolve the required assemblies, resulting in the failure to load the project's dependencies correctly.

Answer

The Git repository is corrupted.

Answer

The project was saved in a newer version of Studio.

Answer

The .local folder was missing from the repository.

Question 11

If you define a variable with a 'String' type but attempt to pass it into an 'Int32' input field, what will happen in UiPath Studio?

Accepted Answer

The activity will be underlined with a red error icon, indicating a validation error.. UiPath Studio performs strict type checking at design time. When an activity expects a specific data type, it validates the variable provided. If the types do not match, Studio will flag an error, often displaying a red exclamation mark in the Properties panel. This prevents runtime type-mismatch exceptions, ensuring that the automation process is robust and that data is handled correctly according to its defined structure.

Answer

The workflow will automatically convert the string to an integer.

Answer

The workflow will execute normally but throw a runtime error.

Answer

The value will be ignored and the property will remain empty.

Question 12

An automation project requires interacting with a dynamic web application where UI elements frequently change their ID attributes. Which approach best ensures long-term selector stability within the Object Repository?

Accepted Answer

Implement anchored selectors or relative positioning within the Object Repository.. Anchors leverage stable, non-changing elements nearby to locate a target, effectively insulating the automation from ID volatility. By utilizing Anchor Base or fuzzy selectors within the Object Repository, developers decouple target identification from fragile attributes. This practice is foundational for robust UI automation, as it reduces maintenance overhead and minimizes runtime failures caused by minor front-end updates, ensuring the bot remains reliable even when the application's underlying HTML structure undergoes frequent, non-functional modifications.

Answer

Hardcode the full selector string including the dynamic ID to ensure precision.

Answer

Use the 'Find Children' activity to iterate through all elements on the page.

Answer

Disable the Object Repository and use basic Click activities with default settings.

Question 13

A developer is working on a shared library project in UiPath Studio. After pushing changes to the remote Git repository, the CI/CD pipeline fails to package the library. What is the most likely cause of this failure?

Accepted Answer

The project.json file contains an identical version number to the previously published version.. Library projects require specific metadata in the project.json file to be packaged correctly for Orchestrator. When a developer pushes changes, they must ensure the versioning and dependencies are updated according to the library's lifecycle requirements. Failure to increment the version number or resolve missing dependencies in the project settings will cause the NuGet packaging step to fail during the automated build process, preventing deployment to the tenant feed.

Answer

The Git repository is configured with a local branch that is not tracking the origin/main branch.

Answer

The developer did not commit the 'project.json' file along with the workflow changes.

Answer

There are local uncommitted changes residing in the 'Library' folder on the developer machine.

Question 14

A developer places a Break activity inside an If block that is nested within a For Each loop. The If block also contains a Log Message activity after the Break. What happens when the condition in the If block evaluates to True?

Accepted Answer

The For Each loop exits immediately, and the Log Message activity is skipped.. Break transfers control out of the innermost loop immediately, so any activities after it in the same block, such as the Log Message, do not execute. The loop does not continue to the next item, and no exception is thrown because Break inside an If block within a loop is valid. The other options confuse Break with Continue or misstate its rules.

Answer

The Log Message activity executes, and the For Each loop continues with the next item.

Answer

The workflow throws an exception because Break is used inside an If block.

Answer

The Log Message activity executes, and then the For Each loop exits.

Question 15

Which THREE items are considered best practices when creating Test Cases in UiPath?

Accepted Answer

Ensure each test case is independent and can run in any order.. Best practices for testing ensure that automation remains resilient, maintainable, and scalable. By isolating units, using mock data, and maintaining independence between tests, developers can create a robust testing suite. These practices ensure that failures are easy to diagnose and that the suite can run reliably in automated CI/CD pipelines without needing constant manual intervention or complex environment setups that often lead to flaky or unreliable testing results.

Answer

Hardcode test data directly into the workflow activities.

Answer

Include complex UI interactions in every single unit test.
