C_ARSUM Practice Test 10 — 10 Questions

Question 1

What happens in Ariba SLP if a 'Qualification' project expires?

Accepted Answer

The supplier is restricted from sourcing events. When a qualification project expires, the supplier loses their 'Qualified' status within the sourcing environment. This is a crucial risk management feature that prevents procurement teams from accidentally engaging with suppliers who are no longer vetted or compliant. By automating the expiration process, Ariba ensures that the supply base remains compliant without requiring constant manual monitoring, thus safeguarding the company's operational integrity and legal standing against unqualified vendors.

Answer

The supplier is automatically deleted

Answer

The registration project is restarted

Answer

The ERP master record is blocked for payment

Question 2

A procurement manager needs to ensure that all new suppliers complete a specific diversity certification questionnaire before they can be invited to participate in sourcing events. Which mechanism should be configured to enforce this prerequisite?

Accepted Answer

Map the modular questionnaire as a mandatory task in the Registration project template.. The Supplier Request and Registration process is the primary control point for enforcing prerequisites in Ariba Supplier Management. By mapping a specific modular questionnaire as a requirement within the registration project template, the system forces the supplier to provide mandatory certification data before the registration status can transition to 'Registered'. This ensures data completeness and compliance before any procurement activity begins in the downstream sourcing modules.

Answer

Configure a custom event rule in the Sourcing project template.

Answer

Enable the 'Prevent Sourcing Participation' flag in the Supplier Profile.

Answer

Set up an external API integration to validate supplier diversity statuses.

Question 3

Which of the following describes the purpose of a modular questionnaire in SAP Ariba Supplier Management?

Accepted Answer

To collect specific supplier data that is independent of the main registration project.. Modular questionnaires provide a flexible way to gather specific information from suppliers without requiring a full registration or qualification project. They are often used for periodic compliance checks, diversity tracking, or project-specific data collection. By separating these questions from the main registration process, organizations can maintain a cleaner registration flow while still collecting granular data that is easily reportable and manageable within the supplier record.

Answer

To permanently replace the standard supplier registration questionnaire.

Answer

To automatically approve all suppliers who complete the questionnaire.

Answer

To manage the financial payment terms for a specific vendor.

Question 4

What is the primary function of the 'Certificate Management' area in SAP Ariba Supplier Management?

Accepted Answer

To track and notify regarding expiration dates of documents.. Certificate Management allows organizations to track and manage supplier-provided certificates, such as ISO certifications, diversity certificates, or insurance documents. It provides automated expiration tracking and notification, ensuring that certificates remain valid. By centralizing this, procurement can proactively reach out to suppliers before a certificate expires, avoiding disruptions in service and ensuring that the supplier remains compliant with enterprise-wide quality and regulatory standards at all times.

Answer

To generate digital signatures for contracts.

Answer

To automatically issue certifications to suppliers.

Answer

To manage the supplier's Ariba Network account credentials.

Question 5

A supplier manager is preparing to onboard a new strategic supplier and must decide which supplier data will be governed through the supplier record versus collected ad hoc. Which two statements correctly describe how supplier information is organized in SAP Ariba Supplier Management? (Choose two.)

Accepted Answer

Supplier information is stored on a supplier profile that aggregates registration, qualification, and performance data.. The supplier profile aggregates registration, qualification, and performance data, and registration responses persist into the record so later processes can reuse them. Suppliers may span multiple commodities, qualification templates can be scoped by commodity or region, and performance data remains linked to the supplier rather than requiring manual reconciliation.

Answer

Each supplier must be assigned to exactly one commodity, which then scopes all of its qualifications.

Answer

Performance data is stored outside the supplier record and must be manually reconciled to the supplier.

Answer

Qualification templates are global objects that cannot be scoped to specific commodities or regions.

Question 6

When designing a modular questionnaire, what is the best practice for managing sensitive supplier compliance documentation?

Accepted Answer

Use internal-only visibility conditions. Using internal-only attachments and visibility conditions ensures that sensitive documents are accessible only to authorized personnel. This is essential for maintaining privacy and ensuring compliance with data regulations like GDPR. By restricting visibility at the question level, organizations prevent data leakage and ensure that sensitive certificates are reviewed by appropriate legal or compliance teams while keeping the supplier-facing interface clean and focused on necessary information.

Answer

Store all documents in a public folder

Answer

Mandate that suppliers email documents to buyers

Answer

Attach documents to the supplier master record

Which SAP Ariba tool is used to monitor a supplier's ongoing financial health and global media mentions?

Accepted Answer

The Supplier Risk Monitoring module.. The SAP Ariba Supplier Risk module is the specific tool designed for continuous monitoring. It integrates with world-class risk intelligence providers to feed real-time updates on financial performance, legal issues, and negative media into the supplier's risk profile. This proactive monitoring is essential for large global enterprises, as it allows procurement teams to identify potential supply chain disruptions and reputation risks long before they manifest as critical business impact.

Answer

Answer

The Sourcing Project management dashboard.

Answer

The Master Data Management (MDM) sync tool.

Question 8

Refer to the exhibit. A company implements this JSON policy in their SAP Ariba Supplier Risk environment. What is the immediate effect when a supplier registration is initiated for a vendor with a risk score of 80?

Accepted Answer

The registration is automatically blocked.. The exhibit displays a risk policy that blocks registrations when the vendor's risk score exceeds 75. Since the supplier has a score of 80, the system triggers the 'block_registration' boolean. This prevents the onboarding process from proceeding, protecting the company from engaging with high-risk entities. Understanding these JSON-based policy configurations is critical for administrators managing automated risk mitigation strategies within the SAP Ariba Supplier Lifecycle and Risk suite.

Answer

The registration proceeds normally.

Answer

The registration requires manual approval.

Answer

The policy is ignored due to internal bypass.
