Practical Network Engineer
No multiple choice. You get a live network that is already broken, a queue of tickets and a timer. Fix the incidents, carry out the change requests and leave everything else working, like the first week in a new job.
A different exam for every candidate
Addressing, VLANs and the faults injected are generated from a random seed. There is nothing to memorise or leak.
Graded on what the network does
Each ticket comes with requirements (who must reach what, and what must stay blocked). Any correct configuration passes.
Do no harm
Everything that worked at the start must still work at the end. Fixing one ticket by breaking another costs you.
How you work counts
Every command is logged. Checking before changing and verifying after changing are part of the score.
Graded on the server
The network is rebuilt from your command log and graded there, so the result cannot be edited in the browser.
A report, not just a number
Scores per area (switching, routing, services, access control, firewall), time per ticket and, for employers, a session replay.

Use a computer or tablet. You need a free account. Practice runs give the full report; certification attempts also issue a verifiable certificate when you pass.
