Sales-Con-201 Implementation Strategies Practice Test 3 — 15 Questions

Question 1

Universal Containers wants to assess the user experience during UAT for their Sales Cloud project. Which method provides the most actionable feedback?

Accepted Answer

Conducting observational task-based usability testing sessions with representative users. Observational task-based usability testing directly captures how real users interact with the system, revealing friction points, workarounds, and confusion that other methods miss. By watching representative users attempt realistic tasks, the team gets concrete, actionable feedback on UI design, field placement, and process flow. This method aligns with UAT's goal of validating that the solution works for its intended users in real scenarios.

Answer

Asking executives if they believe sales reps are happy

Answer

Counting the total number of validation rules created

Answer

Reviewing monthly server CPU utilization graphs

Question 2

What is the primary purpose of a 'Go/No-Go' decision gate prior to a Sales Cloud deployment?

Accepted Answer

To verify that all readiness criteria, testing sign-offs, and risk mitigations are complete. A Go/No-Go decision gate before a Sales Cloud deployment is a formal checkpoint where stakeholders verify that all readiness criteria are met — testing sign-offs, risk mitigations, data migration validation, and user readiness — before authorizing the production release. It ensures the deployment proceeds only when the org is truly prepared.

Answer

To determine which custom objects should be deleted permanently

Answer

To negotiate final contractor billing rates

Answer

To test internet bandwidth speed at the corporate office

Question 3

An enterprise client is finalizing their post-rollout adoption strategy. They notice that while login rates are high, creation of new opportunities is lagging. Which targeted intervention should the consultant recommend?

Accepted Answer

Conduct a targeted workflow analysis on lead conversion and provide streamlined 'Quick Action' training. The consultant should recommend conducting a targeted workflow analysis on lead conversion and providing streamlined 'Quick Action' training (C). High login rates but low opportunity creation indicate a usability or process bottleneck. Analyzing the lead conversion workflow and training on Quick Actions can reduce friction and encourage opportunity creation. This is a targeted intervention addressing the specific gap.

Answer

Send out company-wide reminder emails about the importance of logging into Salesforce

Answer

Reset all user passwords and force them to re-register on the platform

Answer

Increase sales quotas to force reps to create more opportunities

Question 4

Universal Containers is preparing a change management strategy for a complex Sales Cloud rollout. Which TWO actions should the consultant include to ensure long-term user adoption and cultural alignment? (Choose two.)

Accepted Answer

Establish an active executive steering committee to visibly champion the project. Option A is correct because an active executive steering committee provides visible sponsorship, which is a proven critical success factor for CRM adoption—executives can remove cross-functional blockers, align the rollout with business strategy, and signal organizational priority to resistant stakeholders. Option E is correct because a peer-led champion network embeds change agents within each user group, enabling hands-on mentoring, faster issue escalation, and localized feedback loops that generic top-down communications cannot replicate. Together these actions address both cultural alignment (sponsorship and peer influence) and long-term adoption (sustained coaching and feedback). Option B is wrong because success metrics must be defined before go-live to establish baselines and guide adoption tracking. Option C is wrong because fully automated notifications without human interaction fail to build trust or address nuanced user concerns. Option D is wrong because offloading all post-go-live training to external contractors undermines internal ownership and sustainable knowledge transfer.

Answer

Delay defining success metrics until six months after go-live

Answer

Rely entirely on automated email notifications with no human interaction

Answer

Delegate all training responsibilities to external contractors post-go-live

Question 5

An administrator is designing a pre-rollout communication plan for Sales Cloud. Which THREE communication milestones should be included to effectively manage user expectations? (Choose three.)

Accepted Answer

Project kickoff announcement explaining the strategic 'why' and business vision. Option C is correct because a project kickoff announcement that communicates the strategic 'why' and business vision sets user expectations early, giving stakeholders context for the change and reducing resistance before rollout begins. Option D is correct because pre-training readiness notifications with registration details ensure users know when and how to prepare, which is a key milestone for managing expectations and driving adoption. Option E is correct because communicating immediate post-go-live support channels plus celebrating 'quick wins' and thanking users sustains momentum, reassures users during the critical go-live period, and reinforces positive behavior. Option A is not appropriate because server hardware specifications and storage alerts are infrastructure/operations concerns, not user-facing communication milestones for Sales Cloud users. Option B is not appropriate because daily technical architecture design reviews are aimed at architects and technical staff, not all end-users, and would overwhelm rather than manage user expectations.

Answer

Detailed server hardware specifications and storage capacity alerts

Answer

Daily technical architecture design reviews for all end-users

Question 6

A consultant is helping an enterprise client define success metrics for their Sales Cloud implementation. Which TWO metric categories are essential for measuring comprehensive program success? (Choose two.)

Accepted Answer

Qualitative adoption and engagement metrics (e.g., active user ratios, feature utilization). Option D is correct because qualitative adoption and engagement metrics such as active user ratios and feature utilization directly measure whether the Sales Cloud implementation is actually being used and embraced by the sales organization, which is a core dimension of program success. Option E is correct because quantitative business outcome metrics such as win rate, sales cycle length, and pipeline velocity tie the implementation to tangible revenue and productivity gains, which is the ultimate purpose of a Sales Cloud deployment. Together, these two categories provide a balanced view of both behavioral adoption and business impact, which is what comprehensive success measurement requires. Option A does not belong because the number of custom Apex classes compiled in a sandbox is a technical development artifact, not a business or adoption success metric. Option B does not belong because inbound email spam volume is an infrastructure/security concern unrelated to Sales Cloud program success. Option C does not belong because database backup failure frequency is an operational IT reliability metric, not a measure of Sales Cloud implementation success.

Answer

Number of custom Apex classes compiled in the developer sandbox

Answer

Total volume of daily inbound email spam received by the server

Answer

Frequency of database backup failures

Question 7

During the user experience (UX) assessment phase of a Sales Cloud project, which THREE activities should the consultant perform to optimize user workflows? (Choose three.)

Accepted Answer

Shadow daily sales activities to observe actual user behaviors and friction points. Option A is correct because shadowing daily sales activities is a core UX discovery technique that reveals actual user behaviors, workarounds, and friction points that interviews or surveys may miss, giving the consultant evidence to redesign workflows. Option C is correct because designing role-specific Lightning page layouts (using Lightning App Builder with components, visibility rules, and page assignments by profile/app) tailors the interface to each persona, reducing cognitive load and surfacing only relevant fields, actions, and related lists. Option E is correct because mapping legacy data entry paths exposes redundant clicks, unnecessary fields, and non-value-adding steps, which is exactly the kind of workflow optimization the UX assessment phase targets. Option B is not a UX workflow activity; configuring SSO authentication certificates in Setup is a security/identity administration task that does not optimize user workflows. Option D is not a UX activity either; writing complex Apex triggers for backend financial calculations is a programmatic development task unrelated to observing or improving the user experience.

Answer

Configure Single Sign-On (SSO) authentication certificates in Setup

Answer

Write complex Apex triggers to automate backend financial calculations

Question 8

Universal Containers is experiencing low user adoption three weeks after launching Sales Cloud. Which TWO strategies should the consultant recommend to course-correct and drive engagement? (Choose two.)

Accepted Answer

Review adoption dashboards to identify underutilized features and lagging user groups. Option B is correct because reviewing adoption dashboards (e.g., Sales Cloud usage metrics, login and feature adoption reports) provides data-driven insight into which features are underutilized and which user groups are lagging, allowing the consultant to target remediation precisely. Option D is correct because targeted remediation workshops and drop-in office hours directly address user pain points, reinforce training on specific features, and lower the barrier to engagement through hands-on, role-relevant support. Options A and E are punitive and counterproductive, as removing access or restricting system use would halt adoption rather than improve it. Option C is also wrong because deleting reports and dashboards destroys existing value and would frustrate users instead of driving engagement.

Answer

Immediately disable Salesforce access and revert the entire company to legacy spreadsheets

Answer

Delete all custom reports and dashboards to force users to start over

Answer

Mandate that employees work overtime hours without system access until compliance improves

Question 9

When planning a global Sales Cloud rollout, which THREE factors must be evaluated during pre-rollout readiness planning? (Choose three.)

Accepted Answer

Regional ERP or legacy system integration dependencies. Option A is correct because a global Sales Cloud rollout must account for integration dependencies with regional ERP or legacy systems, since data flows, middleware, and API limits (e.g., REST/SOAP callouts, Salesforce Connect) directly affect readiness and cutover sequencing. Option C is correct because multi-currency, localization, and regional date/number formatting requirements must be configured in Salesforce (e.g., activated currencies, Advanced Currency Management, locale settings, translation workbench) to ensure accurate forecasting, reporting, and user adoption across regions. Option D is correct because local data privacy regulations such as GDPR, data residency, and consent requirements dictate how personal data is stored, processed, and transferred, influencing org strategy, data model, and compliance controls before rollout. Option B is not relevant because printer maintenance budgets are an internal IT operational expense unrelated to Sales Cloud readiness planning. Option E is not relevant because Salesforce data center hardware specifications are managed by Salesforce under its cloud infrastructure and are not a customer planning factor.

Answer

Internal IT budget allocation for local printer maintenance contracts

Answer

Exact number of hard drives installed in Salesforce data centers

Question 10

An enterprise organization is preparing its pre-rollout training plan for Sales Cloud. Which TWO training design principles should the consultant enforce? (Choose two.)

Accepted Answer

Incorporate hands-on, scenario-based exercises mirroring real business processes in a training sandbox. Option A is correct because hands-on, scenario-based exercises in a training sandbox let users practice the actual Sales Cloud business processes (leads, opportunities, quotes) in a safe environment, which drives retention and adoption far better than passive learning. Option D is correct because tailoring modules to specific personas such as Inside Sales, Field Reps, and Sales Managers ensures each group sees only the objects, page layouts, and processes relevant to their role, improving engagement and competency. Option B is wrong because relying exclusively on raw schema documentation without labs gives no practical application and is unsuitable for end-user pre-rollout training. Option C is wrong because generic, identical content ignores differing role responsibilities and access, reducing relevance and effectiveness. Option E is wrong because scheduling all training three months before go-live causes skill decay and misses the chance to train on the final configured org close to deployment.

Answer

Rely exclusively on reading raw technical schema documentation without practical labs

Answer

Deliver generic, identical training content to every user regardless of their role

Answer

Schedule all training sessions three months before go-live to allow maximum time to forget

Question 11

Which THREE metrics are critical for defining baseline performance before rolling out Sales Cloud? (Choose three.)

Accepted Answer

Average sales cycle duration from opportunity creation to closed-won. Option A is correct because average sales cycle duration from opportunity creation to closed-won is a core Sales Cloud KPI that establishes how long deals take to progress through the pipeline, providing a baseline against which post-rollout pipeline velocity can be measured. Option C is correct because average lead response time from inbound inquiry to initial contact is a critical sales performance metric that Sales Cloud features like Lead queues, assignment rules, and Einstein Activity Capture are designed to improve, so it must be captured pre-rollout. Option E is correct because current opportunity win rate percentage is a fundamental conversion metric that reflects sales effectiveness and is essential for benchmarking whether Sales Cloud adoption improves close rates. Option B does not belong because the count of custom validation rules in a legacy system is a technical migration/configuration detail, not a performance metric. Option D does not belong because marketing email bounce-back volume is a Marketing Cloud/email deliverability metric, not a baseline Sales Cloud performance indicator.

Answer

Total number of custom validation rules currently active in legacy system

Answer

Total volume of outgoing marketing email bounce backs

Question 12

Universal Containers wants to establish an ongoing change management and governance structure after Sales Cloud goes live. Which TWO practices should the consultant recommend? (Choose two.)

Accepted Answer

Establish a Salesforce Center of Excellence (CoE) with business and IT representation to prioritize enhancements. Option D is correct because establishing a Salesforce Center of Excellence (CoE) with both business and IT representation creates the ongoing governance body needed to prioritize enhancements, manage the backlog, and align change decisions with business goals after go-live. Option E is correct because regular feedback channels combined with quarterly release review cycles institutionalize continuous improvement and controlled change management, letting the organization collect user input and schedule enhancements through predictable release windows rather than ad hoc changes. Option A is incorrect because permanently locking all configuration settings would freeze the org and prevent necessary maintenance, bug fixes, and business-driven enhancements, which contradicts an ongoing change management practice. Option B is incorrect because disbanding the project team at go-live and withdrawing support eliminates the very resources needed to triage issues, govern changes, and support users during the critical post-go-live stabilization period. Option C is incorrect because allowing any user to deploy custom Apex code directly to production without review bypasses change control, testing, and approval processes, creating severe governance, security, and stability risks.

Answer

Lock all configuration settings permanently so no further changes can ever be made

Answer

Disband the project team immediately at go-live and provide no further support

Answer

Allow any individual user to deploy custom Apex code directly to production without review

Question 13

During pre-rollout planning, which THREE stakeholders should be actively engaged to secure project buy-in and define success? (Choose three.)

Accepted Answer

Sales Managers who oversee day-to-day pipeline execution and team coaching. Option B, Executive Sponsors providing budget and strategic direction, is correct because executive sponsorship secures funding, removes organizational roadblocks, and aligns the rollout with strategic business goals, which is essential for project buy-in. Option A, Sales Managers who oversee day-to-day pipeline execution and team coaching, is correct because these managers translate strategy into daily execution, influence their teams' adoption, and define operational success metrics for the rollout. Option C, Frontline Sales Representatives who perform daily CRM data entry, is correct because they are the end users whose workflow, data quality, and adoption determine whether the rollout succeeds, so their input defines practical success criteria. Option D, System hardware manufacturers for office laptops, is not correct because hardware vendors supply equipment but are not stakeholders in securing organizational buy-in or defining business success. Option E, External competitors operating in the same industry market, is not correct because competitors are outside the organization and have no role in internal pre-rollout planning or buy-in.

Answer

System hardware manufacturers for office laptops

Answer

External competitors operating in the same industry market

Question 14

A consultant is designing the rollout strategy for a company moving from legacy desktop software to Sales Cloud. Which TWO risks must be actively managed during the transition? (Choose two.)

Accepted Answer

Data migration errors resulting in corrupted or incomplete historical customer records. Option B is correct because moving from legacy desktop software to Sales Cloud requires migrating historical customer data, and mismatched fields, duplicate records, or failed loads can corrupt or incompletely transfer records, so data migration errors must be actively managed with validation, deduplication, and reconciliation. Option E is correct because user resistance and reversion to legacy offline spreadsheets is a classic adoption risk in CRM rollouts, and it must be managed through training, change management, executive sponsorship, and clear process alignment. Option A is not correct because Salesforce data centers are highly resilient and simultaneous logins do not cause physical overheating; capacity is handled by Salesforce's infrastructure. Option C is not correct because file attachment limits are governed by Salesforce storage allocations and licensing, not by excessive server storage space in the customer's environment. Option D is not correct because standard Salesforce objects like Accounts and Contacts cannot be accidentally deleted in the way described; Salesforce protects standard objects from deletion, and deletion of records is governed by permissions, recycle bin, and backup/recovery practices.

Answer

Too many users logging in simultaneously causing Salesforce data centers to physically overheat

Answer

Excessive server storage space caused by overly generous file attachment limits

Answer

Accidental deletion of standard Salesforce objects like Accounts and Contacts

Question 15

When defining success metrics for a Sales Cloud implementation, which THREE categories of metrics should a consultant track to ensure a balanced evaluation? (Choose three.)

Accepted Answer

Data quality metrics (e.g., completeness of key fields, duplicate rates). Option B is correct because data quality metrics such as field completeness and duplicate rates directly measure whether the Sales Cloud data foundation is reliable enough to support reporting, forecasting, and automation. Option C is correct because user adoption metrics like login frequency and active user counts reveal whether sales reps are actually using the platform, which is a leading indicator that the implementation is delivering value. Option D is correct because business outcome and ROI metrics such as win rates and sales cycle length tie the implementation to tangible revenue and efficiency gains, completing a balanced view of people, data, and business results. Options A and E are not appropriate because electricity consumption and coffee machine refill requests are unrelated to Sales Cloud performance and cannot demonstrate implementation success.

Answer

Physical office electricity consumption by employees

Answer

Number of coffee machine refill requests submitted in the breakroom
