How to approach select two (multi-select) questions

Multi-select questions tell you to 'Choose TWO' or 'Choose THREE'. Getting partial credit is not a thing — you must select all correct answers with no incorrect ones. The stem always states how many to choose, so trust it. These questions require precision, not best-guess elimination.

Quick answer

Select Two (Multi-Select) Questions questions test whether you can apply the concept in context, not just recognise a definition.

How the topic appears in realistic exam-style scenarios.

Which detail in the question changes the correct answer.

How to eliminate plausible but wrong options.

How to connect the question back to the wider exam objective.

A developer is designing a subagent architecture with the Claude Agent SDK. The main agent delegates a codebase audit to a specialized subagent to keep the primary conversation focused. Which TWO practices help ensure the delegation works correctly? (Choose two.)

Question 3hardmulti select

A developer is building a pipeline that summarizes a 200-page technical manual with Claude Sonnet. The manual is too long for a single request, so the developer splits it into 40 chunks and summarizes each chunk independently. The final summaries must remain factually consistent with one another and with the source, and the developer has a fixed token budget. Which two techniques should the developer apply to keep the chunk summaries consistent and grounded? (Choose two.)

Question 4hardmulti select

A developer wants Claude Code to run a series of shell commands as part of a build task but is concerned about the assistant executing arbitrary or destructive commands. Which TWO practices reduce this risk while still allowing the needed commands to run? (Choose two.)

Question 5hardmulti select

A developer is building an MCP server that exposes several tools for managing a cloud infrastructure. The server will be used by multiple Claude clients. The developer wants to ensure that tool calls are handled efficiently and that the server can scale. Which two practices should the developer implement? (Choose two.)

A security auditor is reviewing an application that uses the Model Context Protocol (MCP). Which TWO security considerations are most important for the developer to address when implementing the MCP Server?

Question 7mediummulti select

Question 11hardmulti select

A developer is implementing a multi-agent system using the Anthropic SDK where a 'Coordinator' agent delegates tasks to specialized 'Researcher' and 'Writer' agents via tool calls. The Coordinator must maintain a coherent conversation state and avoid redundant work. Which TWO of the following practices are essential for the Coordinator to effectively manage this delegation? (Choose two.)

Question 12hardmulti select

A fintech company deploys a Claude-powered agent that can call internal tools such as `get_transaction_history` and `initiate_transfer`. During a red-team exercise, an attacker crafts a user message that causes the agent to call `initiate_transfer` to an attacker-controlled account. Which TWO controls most directly mitigate this tool-abuse risk? (Choose two.)

Question 13mediummulti select

A developer is integrating Claude into a customer-facing portal where users can paste arbitrary text that is inserted into prompts. The security team wants to reduce the risk of prompt injection leading to unauthorized actions. Which TWO controls are most effective? (Choose two.)

Question 14mediummulti select

A developer is writing an MCP client that must stay responsive while a server performs a slow operation during a tool call. The client should allow the user to cancel the request without terminating the whole session, and the server should be able to stream incremental output before finishing. Which two MCP features should the developer implement? (Choose two.)

Question 15mediummulti select

The corpus is stable and reused across every request, and the developer wants to cut cost and latency while preserving answer quality. Which two changes will most directly reduce per-request token processing for this workload? (Choose two.)

Question 17mediummulti select

A developer is building an agent that must decide when to call tools versus when to respond directly to the user. The agent uses the Anthropic SDK with tool definitions supplied in the request. Which TWO behaviors correctly describe how the model handles tool use in this setup? (Choose two.)

Question 18hardmulti select

A developer is building a Claude-powered agent that uses the Anthropic API with a tool-use loop. The agent can invoke a `fetch_url` tool that retrieves the contents of any URL supplied by the model. During a red-team exercise, an attacker embeds hidden instructions in a page the agent fetches, causing the agent to call `fetch_url` again with an attacker-controlled URL containing sensitive query parameters. Which TWO controls best reduce this tool-use loop risk? (Choose two.)
